From a failed report to a finished floor

1. You send the report we are meant to read

The product is the PDF you already hold: an in-situ wet-pendulum or AS 4663 report, with locations, slider type, P-ratings and whatever notes the tester wrote. Photos of the floor help; they do not replace the table of results.

If you have been told a kitchen needs P4, a ramp needs P5, or a hospital wet area has to meet a figure drawn from HB 198 or the NCC, put that in the notes. If you do not know the target, say so. Guessing a rating in the form does not make it the right one.

2. We write an opinion, not a slogan

Someone here reads the report against the covering and the use of the space. The opinion names one of four paths: change cleaning and chemicals; apply an anti-slip treatment to the existing floor; grind and profile; or replace the covering. It says why that path fits, and what would be wasted effort.

The opinion is advice for a contractor scope. The works report describes what we did; a retest is a separate measurement.

3. You get a quote for those works

Price follows the opinion. The quote covers the recommended intervention, preparation, access and any making-good that belongs with it. If two paths are plausible, we say so and price the one we would do first — usually the lightest that can still reach the required rating.

4. We do the works on your site

Once you instruct us, we attend and carry out the agreed work. Coverage is national. The conversation on site is about that floor: hours of access, isolation, curing time, and what the covering will look like when we leave.

5. A retest is booked after, not instead

When the surface is ready to be measured again, we arrange a retest. That visit is a separate step. The document we leave after grinding, treating or replacing a floor describes the works. It is not a compliance certificate and it is not a substitute for a new pendulum reading.
